We have 7 business lines:Service centers: We supply flat steel, aluminum, tube, and 3D laser cutting to major manufacturers in the automotive sector.Metal structures: Metal structures for the road sector, agriculture and food industry, electrical infrastructure, energy and data transmission.Solar steel: Solar trackers and fixed structures for the photovoltaic solar market.Storage systems: Design, manufacture, and assemble integrated storage systems.Electromobility: Products for industrial and sustainable electric mobility applications.Precision tubes: High-precision carbon steel and stainless steel tubes with the best quality.Laser cutting: We are suppliers of 2D and 3D laser cutting of metal pieces.We are looking for an Business Innovation Engineer to relocate to Shanghai (Willing to relocate to other locations within China).We are looking for a highly motivated Business Innovation Engineer to drive business growth through the development of innovative solutions, customer engagement, and strategic project management. This role combines technical expertise, commercial acumen, and market insight to develop new products and value-added services while strengthening relationships with key industrial customers.The successful candidate will act as a bridge between customers, operations, engineering, and innovation teams, ensuring that market needs are translated into profitable and sustainable business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & InnovationIdentify and develop new business opportunities, products, and services aligned with customer needs and market trends.Evaluate the technical, economic, and commercial feasibility of new projects and solutions.Analyze markets, competitors, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities.Drive innovation initiatives focused on improving processes, materials, products, and services.Act as a liaison between customers, technical teams, and operations to transform market needs into profitable and sustainable solutions.Promote the adoption of new technologies and value-added proposals that enhance the company's competitiveness.2. Commercial Management, Quotations & ProfitabilityPrepare quotations for new projects and business opportunities.Calculate added value and profitability considering:Raw material costs.Processing and manufacturing costs.Logistics costs.Financial costs.Prepare commercial offers for negotiations with automotive customers.Analyze costs, productivity, auxiliary services, and generated by-products to optimize margins.Develop different commercial scenarios to achieve business objectives.Manage price updates and retroactive calculations based on fluctuations in raw material costs and market conditions.3. Customer Management & Business Relationship DevelopmentPrepare and participate in commercial and technical meetings with customers.Lead negotiations regarding quotations, contracts, and commercial conditions.Monitor contracted volumes, forecasts, and deviations.Manage supply chain issues and customer claims in coordination with internal departments.Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and proactively promote the company's portfolio of solutions.Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers, acting as the main point of contact for both technical and commercial matters.4. Raw Material Management & Cross-Functional CoordinationParticipate in raw material planning and procurement activities in coordination with Purchasing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.Collaborate with suppliers on price negotiations, payment terms, and other contractual matters.Coordinate with Production, Quality, Finance, and Engineering departments to ensure the feasibility and profitability of projects.Facilitate communication between technical and commercial teams to ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives and projects.
Requirements
EducationBachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Business Engineering, or a related field.A Master's Degree, MBA, or specialization in Innovation Management will be considered a strong advantage.LanguagesNative or bilingual Chinese.Intermediate English level.Lower-intermediate Spanish.Professional Experience3 to 5 years of experience in industrial environments, preferably within:Automotive.Steel industry.Manufacturing.Industrial solutions.Experience in Business Development, Product Development, Innovation, or Key Account Management will be highly valued.Experience managing customer projects in technical environments will be considered an asset.IT SkillsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Experience with ERP and CRM systems is a plus.Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools is desirable.Competencies & Skills:Strong commercial mindset and customer orientation.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Strategic thinking with a strong innovation focus.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Proactive and results-oriented attitude.High level of emotional intelligence and stakeholder management skills.Team player with strong collaboration abilities.Adaptability and flexibility in dynamic environments.Availability for international travel when required.
