Apply & track with Apply EdgeDigicel Pacific is hiring!Digicel Pacific is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst - Commercial to join the Commercial Department in Port Moresby.Business Intelligence Analyst - CommercialAbout the RoleReporting to the Head of Business Intelligence & Analytics, the Business Intelligence Analyst - Commercial will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making across the organization. The incumbent will be responsible for data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support business performance monitoring and forecasting.Design and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Power Business Intelligence (BI), Tableau, or Qlik.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into analytical outputs.Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across business systems.Identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies to support operational and strategic decisions.Document data definitions, logic, and methodologies to ensure transparency and repeatability.Work with IT and data teams to enhance data models and optimize reporting infrastructure.Conduct deep-dive analyses into customer transaction patterns to identify opportunities for upselling.Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by validating sources and reconciling discrepancies between technical logs and financial records. Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to improve data capture mechanisms and ensure data quality from USSD, mobile apps, and APIs. Define and enforce data governance standards specific to financial data security.Support the financial forecasting and budgeting process by providing historical data trends.Work closely with the Product, Marketing, and Finance teams to define success metrics for new feature launches. Translate complex data findings into simple, understandable business recommendations for non-technical stakeholders. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for senior management, highlighting trends, anomalies, and opportunities.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or related field.Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analyst, or Reporting Analyst role. Proven experience in working on Mobile Financial Services (MFS), FinTech, or banking data is highly preferred. Proven experience in using data visualization tools including Power BI, Tableau or Looker.Proven experience in extracting, transforming and loading process. Sound understanding of Wallet-to-Wallet transfers, Cash-in/Cash-out (CICO), Agent Commissions and Float Management.Sound understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL), including proficient in writing complex, optimized queries on large datasets.Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheet.Sound understanding of data warehousing concepts.Familiarity with Python or R for predictive analytics.Sound business acumen.Strong analytical skills.Applications are now open to suitably qualified and interested applicants.To apply, please submit your application to PNG.Recruitment@digicelpacific.comApplications close on Tuesday 06 October 2026Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview
