*NOT OPEN TO C2C OR W2 REFERRALS AT THIS TIME*Position: Business Intelligence Analyst – Power BILocation: Washington, DC (5 days a week onsite)Clearance: Public Trust (OR willing to obtain, MUST be a U.S. Citizen)We are seeking a talented Business Intelligence Analyst with strong expertise in Power BI to join our team. This role is responsible for transforming complex business data into actionable insights through the design, development, and maintenance of high-impact reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with deep technical proficiency in Power BI to support data-driven decision making across the organization. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and leadership to understand requirements, deliver compelling visualizations, and drive business performance through insightful analytics.Key Responsibilities• Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that deliver clear, actionable insights to business users and executives.• Develop robust data models using Power Query and DAX, including relationships, calculated columns, measures, and optimized star schemas.• Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities. Translate findings into meaningful recommendations for stakeholders.• Partner with business teams to gather requirements, define KPIs, and deliver tailored BI solutions.• Manage Power BI Service environments, including workspaces, apps, data gateways, row-level security (RLS), and content publishing workflows.• Connect and integrate data from multiple sources (SQL databases, Excel, Azure, APIs, etc.) into Power BI for unified reporting.• Optimize report performance, DAX queries, and data refresh schedules to ensure fast and reliable user experiences.• Implement automated reporting processes, alerts, and advanced analytics features such as AI visuals, forecasting, and decomposition trees.• Create clear documentation for reports and data models. Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI usage and self-service analytics.• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance standards. Implement version control and change management for BI assets.• Stay current with Power BI updates, new features, and industry best practices. Recommend and implement enhancements to the BI environment.Qualifications• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems or related field• 5+ years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering roles• Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI service, including tenant administration, RLS, and workspace management• Strong expertise in data modeling, power query, ETL processes, and writing advanced optimized DAX formulas• Experience troubleshooting performance, refresh, query, and usability in Power BI environments• Strong command of SQL for querying databases, joining tables, and performing data validation• Experience connecting Power BI to varies data sources like SQL, Rest APIs, and Azure services• Knowledge of modern BI Development practices, including governance, documentation, testing, and deployment• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.• Must be a US Citizen• Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance
