Role: Power BI Developer

Location: YorkType: PermanentWorking Pattern: HybridWe’re working with a well established organisation in York that is continuing to invest in its Data, Analytics and BI capability and is looking to appoint a Power BI Developer.This is a hands-on role focused on building and improving high-quality Power BI reporting and dashboards used across the business.You’ll work closely with experienced Data, BI and Product professionals, giving you the opportunity to develop your technical skills while taking ownership of reporting solutions from requirements through to delivery and ongoing improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain Power BI dashboards and reportsDevelop DAX measures and Power Query transformationsSupport the development of semantic and dimensional data modelsWork with SQL to extract, transform and analyse dataHelp improve report performance and usabilityWork with stakeholders to understand reporting requirementsSupport testing, deployment and ongoing maintenance of Power BI productsEnsure reporting is accurate, consistent and well documentedWork closely with wider Data and Analytics teams to improve reporting standardsSkills & ExperienceWe’re looking for someone with experience across:Power BIDAXPower QuerySQLDashboard and report developmentData modellingData visualisationWorking with business stakeholdersYou should have experience delivering Power BI reports in a commercial environment and be comfortable taking requirements from the business and turning them into clear, useful reporting.Experience with areas such as semantic modelling, dimensional modelling, Row-Level Security, deployment pipelines, Databricks or Microsoft Fabric would be beneficial but isn’t essential.This would suit a Power BI Developer or BI Analyst looking to take the next step, work on more complex reporting products and continue developing within an established data function.
