Business Intelligence Lead

If you want a role with real ownership and a direct line to the decisions that matter, this is worth your attention.This role suits a senior BI professional who is as comfortable shaping strategy and leading a team as they are building robust data models and dashboards that people actually trust.About the role:Own the BI function end to end, setting the direction for how business intelligence is built, delivered and consumed across the organisationLead the design and development of scalable data models, dashboards and reporting solutions that serve teams across the businessDefine semantic layer standards, metrics definitions and data documentation that create a single source of truthPartner with senior stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into insight that drives real commercial decisionsLead, mentor and develop a team of BI analysts and engineers, raising the technical bar and delivery standards across the functionDrive the shift towards self-serve analytics, reducing manual reporting and putting trusted data in the hands of the people who need itWork closely with data engineering to ensure the underlying data feeding BI is reliable, consistent and fit for purpose About you:6 to 8 years of experience in business intelligence, with a track record of leading BI delivery within complex organisationsStrong proficiency in SQL and experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery or RedshiftDeep hands-on experience with BI tools such as Looker, Power BI or Tableau, including building production-grade solutions at scaleSolid understanding of data modelling principles including dimensional modelling and experience with dbt or equivalent transformation toolingProven experience leading and developing BI teams, with the ability to set standards and raise the quality barCommercially minded, with the ability to connect BI work directly to business outcomesStrong stakeholder management skills with the credibility to operate at a senior level
