Business Intelligence Lead

BI Technical Lead - Remote in IrelandOne of my long-term clients in Dublin are currently expanding their BI team and looking for a hands on technical lead. This will be someone to own the backbone of their data platform — pipelines, semantic models, and Power BI reporting — while mentoring the team around them.The technical hands-on element is most crucial. Mentoring and leadership is important, but the priority is finding someone who can step in as a senior technical leader for the team.What you'll do:Keep data pipelines, semantic models, and Power BI assets running at full integrityDrive strategic optimizations (Direct Lake, incremental refresh) for a lean, scalable ETLBridge business needs and technical execution — translating logic into clear requirementsReview team output, mentor on SQL/PySpark/Fabric, and champion simple over over-engineeredOwn cost and automation strategy across the LakehouseWhat you bring:Senior-level Data Engineering + Dashboard development experienceStrong SQL, Python/PySpark, SparkSQL skillsMicrosoft Fabric experience is essential.Data Modelling, ETL/ELT, DevOps, CI/CD, GitDP-700 certification required (DP-600/PL-300 a plus)Whilst hiring in Ireland is the priority, the role can potentially be hired in Spain, Italy or Poland as well.If this sounds like the next step in your career, drop your CV across or contact Adam Whitehurst to discuss the role in more detail.
