Team members join a fast-paced hospitality and leisure setting with opportunities to contribute to guest satisfaction and business growth.Role Description The Business Manager role at Bowl Central is a full-time, on-site position based in Bournemouth. The Business Manager oversees day-to-day operations across bowling, bar, and family entertainment areas, ensuring smooth service delivery and an excellent guest experience. Responsibilities include managing staff schedules, supervising front-of-house and back-of-house teams, monitoring financial performance, and supporting revenue growth initiatives. The role involves maintaining high standards in customer service, health and safety, and venue presentation, as well as handling procurement, stock control, and vendor relationships. The Business Manager also contributes to local marketing activities, event coordination, and continuous improvement of operational processes.Qualifications Demonstrated experience in hospitality, leisure, or retail management, with strong operational oversight and team leadership skills.Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and basic financial analysis to monitor performance and support revenue and cost management.Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle guest feedback and resolve issues effectively.Organizational and time management skills, including experience with staff scheduling, stock control, and vendor coordination.Knowledge of health and safety practices, compliance requirements, and risk management in a public venue environment.Comfort with using point-of-sale systems and basic digital tools for reporting, communication, and staff coordination.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in a fast-paced, on-site entertainment setting.Experience in event planning or promotions, and an interest in growing community and corporate bookings is beneficial.Formal education in business, hospitality management, or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory with equivalent experience.
