As we continue to grow, we are looking for a business-minded leader who can help strengthen our operations, improve internal processes, and support the next phase of our company’s growth.Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and business-minded Business Operations Manager to partner directly with the CEO in overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations and supporting its continued growth.This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for improving operational efficiency, supporting financial management, overseeing administrative functions, and helping build the systems and processes necessary to support a growing professional services firm.The ideal candidate is proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple areas of the business. You enjoy improving processes, supporting people, analyzing business performance, and helping leadership make informed decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness OperationsOversee the firm’s day-to-day administrative and business operations.Develop, implement, and continuously improve internal processes, workflows, and business systems.Monitor operational performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, accountability, and scalability.Partner with the CEO to execute strategic initiatives and organizational priorities.Help build the operational infrastructure needed to support continued company growth.Financial & Business AdministrationAssist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.Monitor operating expenses and business performance against budget.Manage the invoicing and various accounting functionsReview monthly financial reports, cash flow, and key business metrics.Coordinate with accounting, payroll, and external financial advisors.Support financial analysis and operational decision-making.Assist in developing financial dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support business decision-making.Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability while maintaining sound financial discipline.Leadership & Team SupportLead and support administrative and operational personnel.Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Work with department leaders to improve communication and operational performance.Assist with organizational planning, resource management, and internal coordination.Coach and support team members while helping create a positive, high-performing work environment.Human Resources & AdministrationOversee HR administration, including onboarding, performance management, policy administration, and compliance.Coordinate employee benefits, insurance renewals, business licenses, and vendor relationships.Help ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations.Oversee office operations and administrative support functions.Maintain a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling employee and company information.Business SupportManage contracts, business systems, office operations, and technology vendors.Support strategic planning and company initiatives.Identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness and overall business performance.Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the CEO, providing operational insights and recommendations to support business growth.QualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Seven (7) or more years of progressively responsible experience in business operations, operations management, office management, business administration, or a related field.Strong understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow, and operational planning.Experience leading administrative or operational teams.Strong business acumen with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management abilities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Experience with QuickBooks, ERP systems, or other accounting and business management software.Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.PreferredExperience within Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or another professional services environment.Experience supporting executive leadership or business owners.Experience improving operational processes and implementing business systems.Knowledge of California employment practices and business compliance.Experience working within a growing small or mid-sized business.Compensation & BenefitsCompensationExpected salary range: $90,000–$120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the
