Business Operations Manager [Founding Member]

🚀 We’re Hiring: Business Operations Founding MemberHarvard Innovation Lab VentureWe’re building an early-stage global startup out of Harvard Innovation Lab, and we’re looking for a Business Operations Founding Member to join us at the ground floor.This is not a traditional operations role.You won’t be stepping into a fully built organization with established processes, clear boundaries, and a long list of predefined responsibilities.Instead, you’ll work directly with the founders to figure out what matters most, build what doesn’t exist yet, and turn ideas into execution.What you’ll doWork closely with the founders to define business strategy, priorities, and execution plansIdentify and evaluate new markets, customers, business opportunities, and growth initiativesLead strategic and operational projects end-to-end, from hypothesis to execution and launchBuild relationships with customers, partners, and other key stakeholdersAnalyze business performance and build the KPIs, dashboards, and reporting systems needed to make better decisionsIdentify operational bottlenecks and turn recurring problems into scalable processes and SOPsWork cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other teams to turn business needs into actionHelp build the systems, processes, and organizational structure that will support the company as we scaleTake on whatever important problem needs solving — especially the ones that don’t clearly belong to anyone yetWhat we’re looking for1-5+ years of experience in startups, consulting, strategy & operations, technology, venture capital, or another highly problem-solving environmentA track record of taking ownership of ambiguous problems and driving them to measurable outcomesStrong analytical and structured problem-solving skillsAbility to move seamlessly between strategy and hands-on executionExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsComfortable working in a fast-moving environment with limited resources and incomplete informationStrong business English and Korean communication skillsHigh ownership, curiosity, and a willingness to learn quicklyBonus pointsExperience at an early-stage startup or building something from 0 → 1Founder’s Associate, BizOps, Strategy & Operations, or Management Consulting experienceExperience in GTM, business development, partnerships, or new business creationExperience working across US and/or global marketsExperience working closely with Product, Engineering, or Data teamsStrong data, automation, or AI-tool capabilitiesExisting network across the US/global startup ecosystemWhy join?As a founding member, you’ll have the opportunity to:Work directly with the founders and shape the company from the beginningTake ownership across strategy, operations, customers, partnerships, and growthHelp build the systems and culture that will scale with the companyGain hands-on experience building a global business from the ground upGrow into a significant leadership role as the company scalesParticipate in long-term upside through equity, subject to the company’s compensation structureThis role is for someone who sees an ambiguous problem and thinks:“I’ll figure it out.”If you’re looking for a narrowly defined role with established processes, this probably isn’t the right fit.If you want to build, learn, and solve problems alongside founders from day one, we’d love to hear from you.
