Exciting project for a Business Process Engineer Manager with TMC & TMC Middle EastThe role of a Business Process Engineer Manager in the Saudi Arabian banking sector is highly sought after, focusing on operational excellence, digital transformation, and regulatory compliance, particularly within Riyadh-based financial institutions.Direct Asset Management experience is highly desirable, particularly exposure to areas such as fund administration, NAV, fees, reconciliations, investment performance, client reporting, portfolio operations, investment servicing, or operational controls.Key Experience RequiredThe candidate should demonstrate strong hands-on experience in:Conducting end-to-end process discovery and analysis across multiple functions, teams and systems.Establishing the actual As-Is process using workshops, observation, transaction samples, data, system behaviour, procedures and other evidence, rather than relying only on documented processes or stakeholder descriptions.Identifying process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, rework, manual activities, control weaknesses, exceptions, handoff issues and unclear ownership.Performing structured root-cause analysis and distinguishing symptoms from underlying process, control, data, organization or technology issues.Designing practical To-Be processes that improve efficiency, control, accountability and business outcomes.Designing or improving preventive and detective controls, reconciliations, exception handling, approvals and auditability within business processes.Assessing Excel/manual activities and determining whether they should be eliminated, simplified, standardized, controlled, automated or moved into an appropriate system.Working closely with Business, Operations, Risk and Technology to understand how processes operate across applications, workflows, business rules, integrations, data and batch/scheduled activities.Translating process findings into clear business requirements and implementable improvement actions, without jumping prematurely to a technology solution.Identifying opportunities for workflow automation, digitalization and better use of existing systems.Defining process KPIs and baselines and measuring whether implemented changes actually delivered the expected improvement.Facilitating cross-functional workshops, challenging assumptions constructively and driving stakeholders toward clear decisions.Supporting transformation initiatives from assessment and process redesign through implementation and benefits validation, rather than stopping at process maps or recommendations.Working in a rolling transformation environment, where confirmed improvements may move into implementation while assessment continues in other areas.Technology & Data LiteracyThey should be comfortable working with technical teams to understand processes that may be embedded within:System workflows | Business rules | Data flows | Interfaces/APIs | Database/status information | Batch processes | System controls | Exception handlingExperience using SQL, BI/data-analysis tools, process-mining tools or similar techniques to investigate processes would be a strong advantage.MethodologiesPractical experience with relevant methodologies such as BPM/BPMN, Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, SIPOC, BPR, Process Mining and Continuous Improvement is desirable.Certifications are beneficial, but practical application and demonstrated results are more important than certifications.The ideal candidate is someone who can enter a complex financial-services operation, uncover how the process really works across people and systems, use evidence and data to identify root causes, redesign the process and controls, translate the changes into implementable requirements, and stay involved until the improvement is working and measurable.Please use this profile as the basis for the search rather than relying only on job titles, as suitable candidates may currently hold titles such as Process Excellence Manager, Operational Excellence Manager, Business Process Manager, Process Transformation Manager, Process Improvement Manager, Continuous Improvement Lead, Business Process Reengineering Lead, or Senior Business Process Analyst.
