Data AnalystLocation: Fremont, CA — 100% OnsiteDuration: 12 months with possible extensionsSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PMPay Rate: Up to $46.42/hourPosition SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support engineering and business teams by organizing complex datasets, developing reports and dashboards, managing documentation, and delivering actionable insights. This role combines data analysis, reporting, visualization, technical documentation, and SharePoint-based document management.The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Power BI, SQL, advanced Excel, SharePoint, and data visualization, along with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate complex information into clear reports and documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect, organize, analyze, and maintain complex business and engineering data.Create dashboards, reports, charts, and visualizations using Power BI and Excel.Use SQL and other data tools to query, analyze, and interpret datasets.Develop and maintain reports using PivotTables, lookups, graphing, and other advanced Excel functions.Support SharePoint document archival, workflow management, content organization, and permissions.Manage and edit documents in collaborative environments including SharePoint and OneDrive.Gather requirements from subject matter experts and stakeholders.Translate complex technical and business information into clear documentation and reports.Support technical documentation, including engineering procedures, standards, and process documents.Identify data trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvement.Maintain organized, accurate, and development-ready documentation and data files.Coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree with 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent experience.Experience as a Data Analyst, Business Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or similar role.Strong experience with Power BI and dashboard development.Experience with SQL and data analysis.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookup functions, reporting, formatting, and graphing.Experience with SharePoint document management, archival, workflows, and collaborative document editing.Experience working with SharePoint, OneDrive, and co-authoring environments.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to gather requirements, work independently, and manage competing priorities.Preferred QualificationsExperience with QuickBase.Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes.Experience with technical or engineering documentation.Experience with data mining, database design, reporting tools, or ETL frameworks.Familiarity with Power BI, statistical analysis, and large or complex datasets.Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or technical teams.Top SkillsPower BI | SQL | Advanced Excel | SharePoint | Data Analysis | Dashboard Development | Data Visualization | Technical Documentation | Data Management | OneDrive | PLM
