We proudly serve clients throughout Georgia and the Southeastern United States with a commitment to Excellence, Initiative, Innovation, Integrity, Relationships, and Teamwork.Role DescriptionDavis Sign & Awning is seeking a highly organized, technology-minded college intern for the Fall 2026 semester (August–December) to help lead the implementation of a new company-wide business management system.This is not a traditional administrative internship. The intern will work across the organization to understand how work gets done, help improve and standardize processes, organize company data, configure and test workflows, and support employee training and adoption.The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, learning new technology, organizing complex information, and improving how a business operates. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in business systems, operations, analytics, or project management to gain meaningful hands-on experience with a significant company-wide initiative.Qualifications Highly organized and detail-orientedProcess-minded and naturally curiousTechnology-savvy and able to learn new software quicklyStrong with Excel or Google SheetsAnalytical and a strong problem solverComfortable asking questions and working with employees throughout an organizationA strong written and verbal communicatorSelf-directed, dependable, and willing to take ownership of a meaningful projectIdeal CandidateResponsibilitiesHelp coordinate the implementation of a new company-wide business management system.Work with employees across sales, estimating, design, production, purchasing, installation, service, and accounting to understand and document key workflows.Organize, clean, and standardize company data, including products, materials, services, customers, vendors, and operational information.Assist with system configuration, data migration, workflow development, and testing using real company jobs.Identify process gaps and inefficiencies and help develop practical solutions.Create clear SOPs, process documentation, and training materials.Help train employees, support the rollout, and track implementation issues through resolution.Assist management in developing useful operational reports and KPIs. Preferred Areas of StudyStudents pursuing degrees in the following areas are especially encouraged to apply:Management Information Systems (MIS) / Information SystemsOperations ManagementIndustrial EngineeringBusiness AnalyticsSupply Chain ManagementComputer Information SystemsBusiness AdministrationAccountingStudents in other majors with strong technology, analytical, and organizational skills are also encouraged to apply.Prior experience with business management software is not required.Experience with any of the following is a plus:Excel or Google SheetsCRM, ERP, project management, or workflow softwareData organization or database workProcess mapping and process improvementProject managementManufacturing or production environmentsAccounting or job-costing systemsSoftware implementation or user training What Success Looks LikeBy December 2026, the intern will have helped Davis Sign & Awning establish a well-organized business management system, standardize important company data and workflows, document key operating processes, test the system using actual company work, develop employee training materials, and support successful adoption throughout the organization.OpportunityThis internship provides considerably more responsibility and real-world exposure than a traditional college internship. The selected student will work directly with company leadership and employees throughout the organization on an initiative that will have a lasting impact on how the business operates.The intern will gain practical experience in business systems implementation, operations, manufacturing workflows, project management, process improvement, data management, change management, and business analytics.
