About the RoleThe role is to support the GSTO group wide initiatives which constitute several cross group initiatives. The person is expected to manage and drive the project management work for specific designated initiatives working closely with respective teams across the Group by providing end‑to‑end project management capabilities and oversight for the stream undertaken. This will include ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and delivering measurable outcomes.The role is responsible for coordinating with business units and cross‑functional stakeholders to drive project execution, monitor progress, mitigate risks, and support decision‑making for the successful delivery of transformation programmes. The role will require change management experience and expertise to ensure the changes introduced across business and operating model,organisation aspect, people, process and technology is cascaded effectively. This is key to ensure the objective of the initiatives are understood and rolled out for effective adoption and meets the group's strategic intent. The initiatives would entail strategic analysis for operational excellence project which may the following areas but not limited to process reengineering, automation, AI, digitalisation, future of banking practices.ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end project management, including planning, RAID management, dependency management and change control, in accordance with Group PMO standards.Deliver transformation programmes within approved budgets and optimise resource utilisation across projects.Identify and track financial benefits, including cost reduction, revenue uplift and productivity gains, together with Finance and business owners.Engage Business and Functional SMEs to translate requirements into scoped deliverables and acceptance criteria, while improving stakeholder satisfaction.Execute change adoption plans covering training, communications and readiness, targeting at least 90% of impacted users before go-live.Maintain cross-functional alignment through fortnightly working groups and monthly SteerCo updates, with no unresolved critical actions beyond 10 working days.Coordinate integrated schedules and inter-project dependencies across the transformation portfolio, with no critical-path slippage without an approved change request.Maintain complete project documentation, including charters, BRD/FRD or user stories, test strategy, cutover plans, UAT sign-off and post-implementation reviews, in the central repository with full auditability.Drive risk management with SMEs and control partners, ensuring all High and Critical risks have treatment plans and target dates.Track post-go-live benefits and KPIs with business owners, and champion continuous improvement through standardised templates, playbooks and checklists.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Economics, Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering or Business IT.Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in project management, programme management or enterprise-level transformation within the financial services sector.Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional digital, operational and regulatory transformation programmes.Experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies, including sprint planning, user story refinement and end-to-end delivery cycles.Demonstrated ability to work with Business, Operations, Technology, Risk, Finance and Compliance stakeholders.Experience in interdependency mapping, risk mitigation, change control and post-implementation benefit tracking.Strong experience engaging SME customers, including requirement gathering, solution design and ensuring deliverables meet business needs.Prior exposure to transformation initiatives affecting SME banking, SME digital platforms or SME credit processes is advantageous.Project Management certification or equivalent, such as PMP, is an added advantage.Agile or Sprint project management certification is an added advantage.English: Professional proficiency.Bahasa Malaysia: Professional proficiency.
