We support leading companies in sectors such as Energy, Telecommunications, Banking, Automotive, Life Sciences and Aerospace.We are launching our Life Sciences business in Italy and are looking for an entrepreneurial Business Unit Manager to build it from the ground up, from our Milan office.About the RoleThis is a rare opportunity to build a business unit from day one. You will build Prime Group’s Life Sciences consulting business by placing specialised consultants with pharma, biotech and medtech clients: winning the first accounts, hiring the first consultants and shaping how the unit sells, recruits and grows. You will report to the Country Manager and work closely with the international CEO and delivery teams. Decisions happen fast, and you’ll have real autonomy to shape the strategy across Lombardy and the wider Italian market.Key ResponsibilitiesLaunch and own the Life Sciences business unit in Italy, including strategy, P&L, and revenue, margin and headcount targetsOpen and grow accounts with pharma, biotech, medtech and CDMO clientsPlace Life Sciences consultants in CQV, Quality & Regulatory, Validation/CSV and Process & Automation EngineeringRecruit, manage and retain your own team of consultants, from first call to long-term career growthLead proposals, pricing and framework agreements with site, engineering, quality and procurement stakeholdersHire and lead your own team of Business Managers as the unit scalesSet the playbook for how Prime Group prices, pitches, recruits and retains in Life SciencesRepresent Prime Group within the Italian Life Sciences ecosystem and at industry eventsWhat We’re Looking For5+ years as a Business Manager or in a similar full-cycle role (sales, recruitment and consultant management) in IT, engineering or life sciences consultingAn active network with pharma, biotech or medtech clients in ItalySolid understanding of GMP environments and services such as CQV, QA/QC, validation and regulatory affairsExperience growing a profit center; team leadership is a strong plusAn entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset and the ambition to build something of your ownNative or fluent Italian and fluent EnglishAvailability to work full-time from our Milan office and travel regularly to client sitesWhat We OfferOwnership with the stability of an established international groupA direct line to the international CEO and leadership teamSupport from Prime Group’s international recruitment and delivery network, so you can focus on clients and consultantsA role that grows as the business unit growsA competitive package with variable bonus, company car and welfare benefits
