This role involves assisting with cutting, trimming, portioning, and packaging meat and poultry products according to established standards and menu requirements. The Butcher Assistant helps maintain strict hygiene and safety practices, ensures proper storage and labeling, and supports quality control checks to meet company specifications. The role also includes restocking displays, coordinating with kitchen and service teams, and providing courteous interaction with customers or internal stakeholders when required. The Butcher Assistant works closely with senior butchers and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to Mathaqat’s quality and service standards.Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in butchery, including basic meat cutting, trimming, portioning, and handling.Candidates should possess strong communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with team members and guests.Candidates should possess solid hygiene and food safety skills, including adherence to sanitation, safe storage, and handling procedures.Candidates should possess quality control skills, with attention to detail in product appearance, labeling, and consistency.Previous experience in a butcher shop, meat section, restaurant kitchen, or catering operation is highly beneficial.Ability to stand for extended periods, handle manual tasks safely, and follow operational procedures and health regulations.Basic knowledge of inventory handling and record-keeping related to meat products is an advantage.Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and peak business hours, and to collaborate in a diverse team environment.
