My client, a progressive, fast-growing consumer products manufacturer in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Buyer to support procurement of ingredients, packaging, and production materials. This role partners with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure material availability, inventory accuracy, and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.Key Responsibilities:Purchase ingredients, packaging, and production materials for multiple manufacturing facilities.Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely supplier confirmations and deliveries.Monitor inventory levels, demand, lead times, and order quantities to prevent shortages and minimize excess inventory.Coordinate inbound shipments, resolve supply issues, and maintain accurate delivery schedules.Build strong supplier relationships while supporting quality, pricing, and on-time delivery.Reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and receipts, partnering with accounting to resolve discrepancies.Identify excess or obsolete inventory and assist with inventory reduction efforts.Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement and inventory processes.Qualifications:2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing; CPG or food industry experience preferred.Experience sourcing ingredients, packaging, or production materials is a plus.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems.Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Compensation: $70-80k + 10% bonus potential + full benefitsHybrid schedule - 3 days work from home.Only local candidates will be considered.
