Apply & track with Apply EdgeADA is hiring!ADA is looking for a Buyer to manage the procurement and replenishment of aircraft spares, sub-assemblies, expendables, consumables, tooling, equipment, and local supplies.This role ensures timely, cost-effective procurement while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and aviation regulatory compliance, including FAA, EASA, GCAA, or equivalent standards. The successful candidate will support uninterrupted aircraft operations through effective sourcing, supplier management, inventory optimization, and adherence to company procurement policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Process purchase requisitions and ensure the timely placement and expediting of purchase orders for aircraft spares, rotables, expendables, consumables, tooling, ground support equipment (GSE), and local supplies from approved suppliers and OEMs.Manage Aircraft on Ground (AOG) requirements with urgency to minimize operational disruptions and flight delays.Support cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with qualified suppliers.Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and logistics arrangements to achieve best value.Monitor supplier performance against agreed KPIs and conduct periodic performance reviews.Ensure supplier compliance with contractual and quality requirements.Ensure all purchased aviation parts are supported by valid airworthiness and traceability documentation (FAA 8130-3, EASA Form 1, GCAA requirements, or equivalent).Verify compliance with regulatory, engineering, and quality standards.Participate, if required, in after-hours or on-call support for critical operational and AOG requirements.Frequent visits, if required, to the warehouse and aircraft maintenance docksCoordinate with Quality Assurance and Engineering teams to resolve discrepancies, quarantine issues, and nonconforming materials.Coordinate with the Finance team to resolve invoice discrepancies, advance payments, and late payments.Maintain compliance with company procurement policies and aviation regulations.Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory.Maintain accurate procurement records, pricing data, supplier information, and lead times within ERP systems.Prepare reports on procurement performance, cost savings, supplier performance, and open purchase orders.Support inventory planning and replenishment activities.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Aviation Management, or a related discipline.Professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent is preferred.Minimum 3–5 years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably within the aviation or aerospace industry.Proven experience in sourcing aircraft parts, consumables, tooling, and maintenance-related materials.Strong understanding of aviation regulations, airworthiness documentation, and certification requirements.Experience working with OEMs, authorized distributors, and aviation suppliers.Proficiency in ERP and procurement systems such as Oracle, RUSADA, or equivalent.Key Competencies:Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work effectively under pressure, particularly during Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations.Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.High attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing technical documentation and procurement records.Sound knowledge of procurement practices, sourcing strategies, and supplier performance management.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting tools.Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple procurement requirements in a time-sensitive environment.
