Buyer - Edible Oils Division

We are Recruiting! Our client, a leading wholesale and retail organisation, is looking for an experienced Buyer – Edible Oils Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing supplier relationships to ensure product availability, competitive pricing and optimal stock levels across the business. The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:Develop and execute procurement strategies for the edible oils category.Source, negotiate and manage relationships with local and international suppliers.Monitor market trends, commodity prices and competitor activity.Negotiate pricing, trading terms and promotional support.Maintain optimal stock levels while minimising stock holding costs.Work closely with Sales, Operations and Logistics to ensure product availability.Analyse sales, margins and inventory performance to maximise profitability.Resolve supplier performance issues and ensure consistent product quality. Requirements:Degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or a related field.CIPS qualification will be an added advantage.Minimum 5 years' buying experience, with proven experience purchasing edible oils or FMCG grocery products.Experience sourcing edible oils from the Indian market will be an added advantageStrong negotiation and supplier management skills.Sound commercial acumen with excellent analytical ability.Strong Microsoft Excel skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced wholesale or retail environment Interested and suitably qualified candidates should send their CV’s to ameer@priconsultants.com no later than 31st July 2026.
