For over 50 years, Babyshop has been a category leader, known for its deep customer relationships and value-driven promise.About the role:Role: Buying Intern – Girls' Clothing DepartmentDuration: 3 monthsJob SummaryWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buying Intern to support our Girls' Clothing Buying Team.The ideal candidate should have an educational background in Fashion apparel, Retail, Merchandising, or a related field, with prior internship or work experience in apparel merchandising or buying preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with Buyers and the QA team to ensure regular fit sessions and arrange all sample are hanged and kept ready for fit session.Attend weekly fit sessions and support the team in maintaining product quality and fit standards.Update buying comments and product information accurately in the PLM system.Coordinate with suppliers regarding sample submissions, approvals, and delivery timelines. All approvals to be shared on email on regular basis.Monitor the critical path and provide weekly delivery status updates, proactively communicating any delays to minimize risks.Prepare weekly product performance and trading reports for the buying team.Manage and track product samples, submissions, approvals, and seasonal/phase-wise.Prepare, track and organize samples for product reviews, photoshoots, and e-commerce shoots.Support in preparation of allocation and franchise file preparation following range reviews.Assist team in preparing presentations, monthly review reports, and strategic meetings.Prepare Order Confirmation sheets and communicate order details to suppliers.Conduct store visits and competitor shopping (comp shops), providing market insights and recommendations to support department strategy.Prepare and maintain product flow charts documentation.Ensure efficient sample management for the department and keep all samples in the department area.Courier package opening and provide general administrative and operational support to the Buying team as required.Applicants must have a sponsor (parent/spouse) visa and medical insurance
