This is an on-site position, based in either Cluj-Napoca or Iasi.The role requires strong hands-on expertise in modern C++ (C++17 or later), Qt, Windows Embedded, Linux Embedded, and QNX, combined with architect-level ownership of complex software solutions.You will be responsible for defining and driving technical architecture across subsystems, establishing engineering standards, and ensuring high levels of software quality, maintainability, and consistency throughout the development lifecycle.The role also requires the active use of Agentic AI as part of the software engineering and development workflow. Previous experience in the MedTech / Medical Devices industry is considered a strong advantage.Key ResponsibilitiesSoftware Architecture & Technical LeadershipDefine and drive software architecture across multiple components and subsystemsAct as a Technical Anchor, providing architectural direction and ensuring consistency across development teamsOwn technical decisions across the software development lifecycleTranslate complex business and technical requirements into scalable and maintainable software architecturesSupport development teams in solving complex technical and cross-subsystem challengesC++ & Embedded DevelopmentDesign and develop high-quality software using modern C++ (C++17 or later)Design and develop applications for Windows Embedded and Linux embedded application developmentDesign and develop software running on QNX real-time operating systemsEnsure portability, performance, reliability, and maintainability across supported platformsAgentic AI & Engineering EfficiencyActively use Agentic AI within software engineering and development workflowsPromote effective and responsible adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices across teamsTechnical RequirementsMust-have8+ years of professional software development experience, including significant experience at Architect / Technical Lead levelStrong hands-on expertise in modern C++Experience with Windows Embedded and Linux embedded application developmentHands-on experience with QNX or demonstrable evidence of the ability to rapidly ramp up on QNX and real-time operating systemsActive hands-on use of Agentic AI in software engineering and development workflowsFluent English communication skillsNice-to-havePrevious experience developing software in a safety-critical or regulated environment, such as automotive (ISO 26262 / ASPICE) or industrial (IEC 61508); MedTech / Medical Devices experience under IEC 62304 (Class B or C) is a strong advantageFamiliarity with FPGA development, particularly Xilinx or Intel toolchainsKnowledge of server-side web development, including REST APIs and containerisationProficiency in authoring Azure DevOps (ADO) YAML pipelinesFamiliarity with Artifactory integration within development and CI/CD pipelinesHands-on knowledge of the Conan 2 package managerKnowledge of package versioning and pre-release conventionsSoft SkillsStrong technical leadership and decision-making capabilitiesExcellent analytical and structured problem-solving skillsHigh level of responsibility and end-to-end ownershipAbility to communicate complex architectural decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong collaboration skills across development teams and technical disciplinesAbility to provide technical guidanceEducationUniversity degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
