We are partnering with a leading global bank to appoint a Principal Full Stack Lead Engineer at Vice President level. This is a senior, hands-on engineering role for someone who can operate across C#/.NET, React and TypeScript, while providing technical direction across multiple engineering teams.You'll be responsible for driving modern engineering practices across a large-scale banking technology environment, working on complex applications and helping teams improve architecture, quality and delivery.Key areas include:Hands-on development across C#/.NET and React/TypeScriptDesigning scalable enterprise applications and REST APIsTechnical leadership across multiple engineering teamsDefining reusable engineering and architecture patternsModernising legacy applications and development practicesImproving automated testing, code quality and engineering standardsSupporting GitLab CI/CD and DevSecOps adoptionWorking with distributed systems, APIs and modern application architecturesMentoring senior engineers and providing technical guidanceTechnologyEssential:C#, .NET, ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, REST APIs, Git, CI/CD, automated testing and distributed applications.Desirable:Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, microservices, event-driven architecture, cloud-native development and DevSecOps.What We're Looking ForWe're looking for an experienced Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, Lead Engineer or equivalent with a strong track record in large enterprise environments.You should be genuinely full stack, with significant hands-on experience across both .NET and React, and comfortable operating at architectural and technical leadership level.Previous experience within banking or financial services is essential, ideally within a complex, highly regulated environment.This is not a pure management or architecture role — you'll remain technically hands-on while influencing engineering direction across multiple teams.
