The engineer will work closely with design, CAE, manufacturing, and client teams to develop and validate simulation models and provide technical recommendations.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and validate CAE models for BIW, truck bed/box structures, and full vehicle-level systems.Perform structural analyses for key vehicle load cases, including:BendingTorsionStiffnessPoint mobilityOther vehicle-level structural load casesConduct NVH-related analysis as required.Evaluate structural performance and identify areas for design improvement.Collaborate with design engineers to optimize BIW and aluminum structures based on CAE results.Support model correlation, validation, and iterative design development.Participate in technical reviews with client and material/supplier teams, including Novelis teams where applicable.Present simulation results and technical recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.Document analysis results and engineering recommendations using PowerPoint and Excel.Prepare and maintain final CAE input files and required engineering documentation.Track analysis iterations and model changes using project tracking sheets.Work with high-performance computing (HPC) resources to execute large-scale simulations.Support troubleshooting and resolution of modeling or analysis issues.Required QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or related Engineering discipline.7+ years of automotive CAE experience.Strong experience with BIW and full vehicle-level modeling and analysis.Experience analyzing aluminum-intensive automotive structures.Proficiency with one or more of the following:Altair OptiStructAltair HyperWorksANSAMETAStrong understanding of structural mechanics and automotive load cases.Experience with stiffness, bending, torsion, NVH, and point mobility analysis.Knowledge of automotive BIW design and structural architecture.Understanding of sheet metal design, joining, forming, and manufacturing processes.Strong technical documentation and presentation skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with LS-DYNA.Experience with pickup truck or full vehicle development programs.Experience with aluminum BIW and truck bed/box structures.Knowledge of aluminum joining technologies and structural optimization.Experience working with OEMs, material suppliers, or Tier 1 suppliers.Experience with HPC-based CAE workflows.Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.Key SkillsAutomotive CAE | BIW | Full Vehicle Analysis | Aluminum Structures | Stiffness | NVH | Bending | Torsion | Point Mobility | OptiStruct | HyperWorks | ANSA | META | LS-DYNA | Sheet Metal | Joining | Forming | Structural Analysis | HPCALTEN Technology is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
