It's a café of its own, with its own staff, standards, guests, and specialized operations, while sharing the hospitality and community that make two:ten what it is.We're looking for the person who can help us build it from day one.Role Description: We’re looking for an experienced Café Lead / Lead Barista to join us ahead of opening and help set the standard for our coffee, hospitality, and day-to-day café operations from the very beginning.You'll be behind the bar making excellent drinks and taking care of people, but this role goes beyond making coffee.You'll own the daily café operation: opening and closing, bar workflow, drink quality and consistency, inventory and ordering, food safety, cleanliness, POS procedures, vendor coordination, and the systems that keep a café running well.And because we're opening from zero, you'll help us build some of those systems too.You'll work directly alongside founder Tyra Miller and our Community Manager. The Community Manager owns the coworking and member experience; you own the café. The two operations work closely together, and our guests should experience them as one warm, thoughtful two:ten environment.This is a hands-on leadership role. At launch, you aren't managing the café from an office: you're leading it from behind the bar.Ideally, you have:2+ years of barista or café experience, preferably in specialty coffeePrevious experience as a lead barista, shift lead, assistant café manager, café manager, or similar leadership roleStrong espresso preparation and milk-steaming skillsExperience with café opening and closing proceduresWorking knowledge of inventory, ordering, par levels, and waste managementExperience training or coaching other baristasFamiliarity with café POS systems and daily payment reconciliationWorking knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health-code expectationsExperience maintaining quality and hospitality during busy service periodsExperience helping open a new café, building café systems, or establishing procedures from scratch is a major plus.The BasicsFull-time, on-site position in Houston HeightsSchedule: two:ten coffee is open Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. This is a full-time, primarily weekday role, with the Café Lead's schedule beginning before opening and/or extending beyond café hours as needed for opening, closing, inventory, and other operational responsibilities.
