The team is committed to building a welcoming, modern cafe environment where guests can explore curated coffee and baked goods. 729 Grams Coffee Roasters is looking for team members who want to grow with a young brand and contribute to shaping its guest experience and operations.Role Description The Cafe Manager role is a full-time, on-site position located in Mumbai. The Cafe Manager oversees daily cafe operations, including supervising staff, managing opening and closing procedures, and ensuring consistent product quality for specialty coffee and baked items. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, handling guest feedback, and ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. The Cafe Manager coordinates inventory and ordering for coffee, food, and supplies, tracks sales and basic financial performance, and supports promotional activities. The position also involves training and mentoring team members, scheduling shifts, and helping implement operational processes that align with the brand’s values and growth plans.Qualifications Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Communication, to ensure a positive and engaging guest experience.Experience in Food & Beverage and Food Service operations, with knowledge of cafe workflows, hygiene standards, and product presentation.Sales skills, with the ability to promote menu items, support upselling, and contribute to revenue growth.Prior experience in managing or supervising a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality venue, including staff scheduling and basic inventory control.Ability to work on-site full time in Mumbai, with flexibility for weekends and peak hours.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on operational efficiency.Interest in specialty coffee and bakery products; prior coffee or barista experience is an advantage.Basic understanding of point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash and digital transactions.
