This is a hands-on leadership role that combines barista expertise with employee training, coaching, and operational support.What You'll DoLead, train, and coach baristas to deliver exceptional customer serviceAssist management with employee performance, accountability, and developmentSupport employee relations and help maintain a positive team culturePrepare high-quality espresso drinks, specialty coffees, teas, smoothies, and shakesOperate, clean, and troubleshoot commercial espresso machines and coffee equipmentMonitor drink quality, consistency, and presentation standards by following SOP and recipe cardsSupport inventory management, stocking, and café organizationResolve customer concerns professionally and create positive guest experiencesEnsure food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards are maintained as per health codes and company standardsLead shifts and support daily café operationsTrain, coach, and onboard new team membersSupport employee performance, accountability, and service standardsAssist with scheduling, inventory, and café organizationHandle escalated customer concerns and ensure exceptional guest experiencesServe as the point person when management is unavailableWhat We're Looking For2+ years of barista experience in a café or coffee shopPrior leadership, lead barista, or supervisory experience preferredStrong customer service experience is requiredExperience training, coaching, and developing employeesKnowledge of employee relations, performance management, and accountabilitySkilled in espresso preparation, milk steaming, coffee brewing, and specialty beveragesExperience working with commercial espresso machines and café equipmentStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsFlexible availability required, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysAdaptable to startup environmentWhy Join Nu3s?Our Market Café has been open for a few months and continues to grow.
