Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob PurposeThe Camp Boss is responsible for the overall day-to-day management, administration, cleanliness, safety, discipline, and welfare of employees residing in the USFSS labour camp. The role involves ensuring that the camp facilities are properly maintained, accommodation standards are maintained, employees' concerns are addressed promptly, and all camp activities comply with company policies, health and safety requirements, and applicable UAE regulations.Key Responsibilities1. Camp AdministrationManage the daily operations of the labour camp and ensure smooth functioning of all camp facilities.Maintain accurate records of employees residing in the camp, including room allocations, occupancy, check-ins, check-outs, transfers, and movements.Allocate rooms and beds to employees based on company guidelines.Maintain updated accommodation and occupancy records.Monitor employee attendance and movement where required by company procedures.Coordinate with HR, Administration, Operations, and other departments regarding employee accommodation requirements.Ensure camp rules and regulations are communicated clearly to all residents.2. Employee WelfareAct as the first point of contact for employees regarding accommodation and camp-related concerns.Listen to employee complaints and resolve routine issues promptly and fairly.Escalate serious complaints or unresolved matters to the Camp Manager / Administration Manager.Ensure employees have access to clean, safe, and suitable accommodation.Support employee welfare initiatives and maintain a positive living environment.Handle employee requests related to room changes, maintenance, housekeeping, and other camp facilities.3. Cleanliness & HousekeepingEnsure all common areas, corridors, kitchens, dining areas, bathrooms, laundry areas, and external areas are maintained in a clean and hygienic condition.Supervise housekeeping staff and ensure cleaning schedules are followed.Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas.Ensure proper waste collection and disposal.Monitor pest-control activities and coordinate with service providers when required.Report hygiene concerns immediately and ensure corrective action is taken.4. Maintenance & FacilitiesConduct regular inspections of camp facilities, including:Air-conditioning systemsPlumbing and water supplyElectrical systemsLightingToilets and bathroomsKitchen and dining facilitiesLaundry facilitiesFurniture and fixturesFire and safety equipmentRecord maintenance issues and coordinate with the Maintenance / Facilities team for timely resolution.Follow up on outstanding maintenance requests until completion.Immediately report major breakdowns or safety hazards to the concerned department.Ensure camp facilities are operational and properly maintained.5. Safety & SecurityEnsure all residents follow camp safety and security procedures.Conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards and unsafe practices.Ensure emergency exits and fire escape routes remain clear at all times.Ensure fire extinguishers, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and other safety equipment are accessible and maintained.Coordinate with security personnel regarding access control and visitor management.Report accidents, incidents, fights, misconduct, or other serious issues immediately to management.Support emergency evacuation procedures and emergency drills when required.6. Discipline & Camp RulesEnforce company-approved camp rules and regulations fairly and consistently.Monitor residents' compliance with cleanliness, noise, visitor, smoking, and other camp requirements.Address cases of misconduct and report serious violations to management.Maintain discipline within the camp without discrimination or favouritism.Maintain records of disciplinary or camp-related incidents as required.7. Food & Dining FacilitiesMonitor the cleanliness and hygiene of the dining and kitchen areas.Coordinate with catering teams regarding meal schedules and service issues.Monitor food service arrangements and report complaints or recurring issues to management.Ensure dining facilities are maintained in a clean and orderly condition.Support inspections related to food hygiene and camp standards.8. Inventory & SuppliesMonitor camp-related consumables and supplies such as cleaning materials, toiletries, maintenance items, and other necessary provisions.Maintain proper inventory records.Raise requests for replenishment before stock reaches critical levels.Ensure company property and camp assets are properly maintained and used responsibly.Report damaged, missing, or misused company property.9. Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate records of:Camp occupancyRoom allocationEmployee movementsMaintenance requestsCleaning schedulesComplaintsIncidentsInspectionsInventoryPrepare regular camp status reports for management.Maintain records for inspections and audits.Ensure all camp-related documentation is properly filed and updated.Qualifications & ExperienceHigh School Diploma / Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Administration, Hospitality, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred.Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Camp Boss, Camp Supervisor, Accommodation Supervisor, or similar role.Previous experience managing labour camps in the UAE is highly preferred.Experience handling large employee accommodations is an advantage.Knowledge of basic maintenance, housekeeping, health & safety, and camp operations.Skills & CompetenciesStrong administrative and organizational skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage and resolve employee concerns professionally.Strong leadership and team-management abilities.Good knowledge of housekeeping and accommodation standards.Basic understanding of maintenance and facility management.Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports.Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.Strong discipline and integrity.Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
