As the business has grown, it has found new ways to share flavor and connect coffee-loving communities across India, offering a thoughtful coffee experience for guests and team members alike.Role Description The Captain at Roastery Coffee House is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for leading floor operations and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. The Captain oversees table service, coordinates with the barista and kitchen teams, and manages reservations and seating to maintain smooth service flow. This role includes supervising and mentoring service staff, handling guest inquiries and feedback, and supporting daily opening and closing procedures. The Captain helps maintain quality standards, supports training on menu and coffee knowledge, and collaborates with management on service improvements and special events.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong customer service and hospitality skills, with the ability to create welcoming, attentive, and efficient guest experiences.Candidates should possess team leadership and people management skills, including the ability to coach staff, delegate tasks, and maintain a positive work environment.Candidates should possess communication and interpersonal skills, with clear spoken English and the ability to handle guest queries and resolve concerns professionally.Candidates should possess basic coffee and food service knowledge, with an interest in specialty coffee, menu understanding, and adherence to hygiene and safety standards.Candidates should possess organizational and time-management skills, including managing table turnover, coordinating with barista and kitchen teams, and supporting daily operations.Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting, especially in a supervisory or senior service role, is preferred.Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak service times, and to stand for extended periods as required in a café environment.A diploma or degree in hospitality management or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory; a passion for coffee and guest service is highly valued.
