Liberty Jet Management is a trusted partner for professional aircraft management, full maintenance support, and international flight operations.Role Description This is a full-time Captain role based in Ronkonkoma, NY with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work-from-home for non-flying duties such as training, administrative tasks, and flight preparation. The Captain is responsible for safe, efficient operation of company aircraft, including pre-flight planning, route selection, fuel calculations, performance assessments, and weather review. Day-to-day duties include leading the flight crew, conducting thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections, managing cockpit procedures, communicating with dispatch and air traffic control, and ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company SOPs. The Captain provides a high level of service to passengers, maintains professional communication with clients and operations staff, and completes required flight logs, reports, and safety documentation. The role also involves recurrent training, maintaining all required licenses and ratings, and actively participating in the company’s safety and quality programs.Qualifications Strong flight operations skills, including advanced knowledge of FAA Part 135 regulations, flight planning, navigation, and aircraft performance.Demonstrated cockpit management skills, including crew coordination, checklist discipline, and adherence to standard operating procedures.Excellent situational awareness and decision-making abilities, with a commitment to safety, risk management, and professional judgment in dynamic environments.Exceptional customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with aircraft owners, charter clients, and internal teams.Ability to use aviation technology and tools, such as electronic flight bags, flight planning software, and onboard avionics systems.Current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) or Commercial Pilot certificate with appropriate type ratings as required; clean safety and compliance record.Recent Part 135 or corporate/charter experience and familiarity with international operations and procedures preferred.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and to travel and remain away from home for extended periods as needed.Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to represent the company with professionalism and integrity.
