Healthcare professionals joining Tawam Hospital become part of an established, multidisciplinary team focused on clinical excellence and patient-centered care.Role Description The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Nurse is a full-time, on-site role based at SEHA Tawam Hospital in Abu Dhabi. The role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including pre-procedure assessment, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery. Daily responsibilities include preparing the cath lab environment and equipment, assisting cardiologists during procedures, managing medications and intravenous therapies, and monitoring patients for hemodynamic stability and potential complications. The nurse will collaborate closely with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure safe, timely, and evidence-based care, while maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to infection control and safety protocols. The role also includes patient and family education regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and ongoing cardiac care, as well as participation in quality improvement and continuing education activities.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Nursing skills, including comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, clinical decision-making, and safe medication administration.Candidates should possess specialized Cardiac Nursing skills, with experience in caring for patients with cardiovascular disease, hemodynamic monitoring, and cardiac interventions.Candidates should possess Cath Lab and Cardiac Cath skills, including familiarity with cath lab workflows, equipment, sterile technique, and assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Cardiology, including cardiac anatomy, physiology, common cardiac conditions, and current evidence-based practice in cardiology nursing.Relevant qualifications include a valid nursing license/registration, completion of an accredited nursing program (Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred), and prior experience in a cardiac cath lab or critical care/acute cardiac setting.Additional beneficial qualifications include certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), strong communication
