Apply & track with Apply EdgeRoles & Responsibilities:Registers patients by confirming patient identification; reviews consultation requests; checks for special instructions; consults with physician; enters anticipated services to patient log, and verifies medical history.Meets and comforts patients; answers their questions; politely explains equipment and testing procedure, assists patient in assuming physical position for the procedure to reduce anxieties and gain patient cooperation.Establishes patient’s monitoring system by connecting ECG leads, BP cuff, and Saturation probe to patient.Monitors patients' comfort and safety during tests, monitors and records patients' blood pressure and heart rate during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in order to notify the physician if something appears wrong at the start and throughout the procedure.Performs electrocardiogram, echocardiogram, and stress tests by using electronic test equipment, recording devices, and analyzes the images recorded.Perform different measurements modalities e.g. IFR,IVUS and OCT.Insure cath lab room (X-ray safety) protocols (lead apron and shields) when you are work-ing inside the cath lab.Rabid response to the emergency situation inside the radiation field (cath lab) by perform (CPR-using the defibrillator and IABP machine connectionProvides calculations needed during the procedure such as valve areas, cardiac output LV end diastolic pressure, and pressure gradient across the valves.Helps physicians by operating multi-channel physiologic monitor; measuring and recording functions of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems of patient during cardiac cauterizations; alerting physicians to instrument readings outside normal ranges during the procedures; and providing test results.Performs Transducer Calibration and chest leveling to have accurate pressure readings.Assists physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular ailments by helping physicians wind a catheter through a patient's blood vessel to the heart.Provides information by maintaining laboratory records, such as, examinations performed and findings; participating in research projects.Monitors and records used medications and used materials during the procedure.Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following asepsis standards and procedures; follows and complies with legal regulations; established guidelines for compliance with Infection Prevention and International Patient Safety Goals and Practices.Maintains quality results by evaluating diagnostic studies for quality and diagnoses.Helps the physician in typing the cath. report, cardio-tree and put labels/stickers of the items used during the procedure.Maintains equipment by ensuring that computers and cardiovascular systems and equipment are operating properly; following operating instructions; reporting any hazardous or potentially dangerous conditions; responding to equipment breakdowns; troubleshooting problems; calibrating equipment; following preventive maintenance procedures; anticipating repair requirements; calling for repairs, and ensuring all equipment are switched off properly at the end of the working dayMaintains positive interpersonal relationships and self-conduct to contribute positively to the delivery of quality care and services, and to orderly operation of the department and the facilityMonitors and reflects on own performance, identifies and addresses own Professional needs; updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities provided by Cardiac Cath Lab.Complies and completes the mandatory CMJ-Infection Control License.Serves and protects the hospital community by adhering to professional standards and hospital policies and procedures.Educating and counseling individuals, families, co-workers, educators, and other persons in the community regarding patient's situation and the methods of care and treatment.Documents and maintain patient data records and services by completing patient records, forms, reports, logs, and archiving and retrieval of all procedures done.Qualifications, Certifications & Experience:Bachelor’s Degree Cardiovascular Technology.2 years of working experience after getting his/ her degree in reputable health care organizationRegistered in Saudi Council for Health Specialties.Certified in BLS and ACLS.ECG Course Diploma.Good command of written and spoken English language (Arabic language is an advantage) Good physical and mental condition.Skills/ AbilitiesGood command of English language both verbal and writtenExhibits professionalism and excellent interpersonal communication skillsAbility to perform radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation. Also, the ability and willingness to cross train into other modalitiesFamiliarity in operating and maintaining computerized radiology equipmentAbility to assemble and disassemble equipment and proficiency in performing patient examinationsExcellent ability to choose between alternative solutions in approaching problemsMonitoring/assessing performance of oneself to make improvements and take corrective actionAbility to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitudeAccepts full accountability on all work-related actions and decisions, practice and conduct while employed by the CMJ.
