Makkah Medical Center Hospital focuses on continuous improvement, professional development, and the integration of modern medical technologies to enhance patient outcomes.Role Description The Cardiovascular Technologist is a full-time, on-site role based at Makkah Medical Center Hospital in Mecca. The role involves preparing patients for cardiovascular procedures, operating imaging and monitoring equipment, and assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures, including cardiac catheterization. Responsibilities include accurately capturing and documenting imaging data, monitoring patient status during procedures, adhering to radiation safety and infection control protocols, and ensuring proper maintenance and calibration of equipment. The Cardiovascular Technologist collaborates with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, supports workflow efficiency in the cath lab, and participates in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience (cath lab experience preferred) demonstrating competency in radiologic and cardiovascular imaging.Strong knowledge of Cardiology and Medicine, including cardiac anatomy, physiology, and common cardiovascular conditions.Hands-on experience in Cath Lab procedures, including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, with adherence to clinical and safety protocols.Practical skills in Radiology, including fluoroscopy use, radiation safety, and imaging techniques relevant to cardiovascular diagnostics.Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or a related allied health field. Valid SCFHS classification and registration in Cardiovascular TechnologyAbility to interpret basic diagnostic results, follow physician instructions precisely, and document procedures accurately.Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure, acute care environments.Effective communication skills and teamwork, with a commitment to ethical, patient-centered care and continuous professional development.
