Its work includes structured career guidance, career assessments, personalised counselling and awareness of education, skill-development and employment pathways.This is a district-level, field-based role involving regular interaction with students, schools and other stakeholders.About Bharat HR ServicesBharat HR Services (BHRS) is a recruitment and workforce solutions organisation supporting hiring requirements of for-profit and non-profit organisations across India.For this assignment, Bharat HR Services will support the recruitment process, including candidate sourcing, initial screening, orientation, interview coordination and communication with shortlisted candidates.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Career Counsellor will be responsible for:Conducting career awareness workshops, group counselling sessions and career guidance activities for students.Administering and facilitating career assessments to help students understand their interests, strengths, aptitude and career aspirations.Providing individual and group career counselling to students.Helping students understand different education, professional, vocational and skill-based pathways, particularly after Class 10.Guiding students in making informed choices regarding subjects, courses, institutions, skill-development opportunities and career pathways.Responding to students' career-related questions and helping them explore suitable options based on their interests and abilities.Supporting students in understanding emerging career opportunities and the connection between education, skills and employment.Using appropriate career development theories and counselling approaches while working with students.Maintaining awareness of the local labour market, education ecosystem, skill-development opportunities and employment pathways relevant to students.Maintaining student counselling records, assessment information, reports and other required documentation.Coordinating with schools, teachers, programme teams and other relevant stakeholders for effective implementation of career guidance activities.Participating in training, review meetings and programme-related activities as required.Travelling within the assigned district/area for school visits, counselling sessions and programme activities.Qualification – MandatoryCandidates must have a Master’s degree in one of the following or a closely related discipline:PsychologyCounsellingSocial WorkEducation / Guidance & CounsellingHuman DevelopmentCandidates who do not meet the required educational qualification may not be considered for this position.Experience1–5 years of relevant professional experience.Previous experience in career counselling, student counselling, teaching, education, youth development, school-based programmes or related fields will be preferred.Experience working directly with adolescents/students will be an advantage.Candidates with experience conducting workshops, counselling sessions or student engagement activities are encouraged to apply.Skills & CompetenciesWe are looking for candidates who have:Strong counselling and interpersonal skills.Good communication skills in Punjabi and English.Ability to communicate comfortably with school students and young people.Understanding of career development theories and career guidance approaches.Awareness of educational pathways, skill-development opportunities and the local labour market.Ability to conduct workshops and group sessions confidently.Good listening, facilitation and student-engagement skills.Ability to maintain records and complete required documentation.Comfort with field travel and working across schools within the assigned district.A student-centric, patient and responsible approach to counselling.LocationPositions are available across Punjab, covering all districts.Candidates from the respective districts, or those who are familiar with the local context and are willing to work within the assigned district, are encouraged to apply.CompensationUp to ₹3.6 LPA, depending on experience, qualification and suitability for the role.Travel Allowance (TA) will be reimbursed separately as per actuals, in accordance with applicable programme norms.How to ApplyInterested candidates may apply through LinkedIn.Candidates may also send their updated CV to:pawan@bharathrservices.comEmail Subject: Application – Career Counsellor – [District Name], PunjabPlease mention your current district/location clearly in your CV or application.Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by Bharat HR Services for the initial screening and further recruitment process.Bharat HR ServicesRecruitment & Workforce Solutions | Pan-India Hiring
