Job Title: Live-in Caregiver / Special Needs Teacher Location: Umm Al Quwain, UAEEmployment Type: Full-Time (Live-in)Salary: AED 5,000 per monthAccommodation & Meals: ProvidedAbout the RoleA private family in Umm Al Quwain is looking for a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Live-in Special Needs Teacher / Caregiver to provide one-on-one support for an 18-year-old girl with autism who is nonverbal.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and be passionate about helping them develop communication, daily living skills, emotional well-being, and independence in a safe and nurturing home environment.The candidate should be warm, positive, and emotionally aware, as the individual is highly sensitive to the emotions and interactions of those around her. Building a trusting, caring, and long-term relationship is an essential part of this role.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide one-on-one educational and developmental support.Assist with communication, social interaction, and daily living skills.Plan and conduct structured learning, sensory, and recreational activities.Create a calm, positive, and supportive environment that promotes confidence and emotional well-being.Encourage independence while assisting with daily routines when required.Support emotional regulation using appropriate techniques and a patient approach.Perform gentle relaxation or massage techniques (if experienced) to help reduce anxiety and promote relaxation.Supervise and participate in swimming activities when appropriate.Work closely with the family and household support staff to ensure consistent care.Maintain regular progress updates and observations for the family.RequirementsPrevious experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), preferably nonverbal adolescents or young adults is preferredQualification in Special Education, Psychology, ABA Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Caregiving, or a related field is preferred.Patient, compassionate, emotionally mature, and genuinely passionate about working with individuals with autism.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Comfortable working in a private household.Ability to swim is preferred.Knowledge of gentle massage or relaxation techniques is an added advantage.Willing to commit to a long-term live-in position.Proficiency in Tagalog language is mandatoryWorking ScheduleWorking Days: 6 days per weekWorking Hours: 8–9 hours per dayArrangement: Live-inWeekly Off: 1 daySalary & BenefitsSalary: AED 5,000 per monthFree accommodationMeals providedOne day off per weekAdditional household support, including an assistant caregiverTransportation available through a driverStable, long-term opportunity with a supportive family environment
