We're Hiring Carpentry LecturerLocation: Holly Hill Campus, Belvedere, DA17 6JGEmployment Type: PAYEPay Rate: £23–£28 per hourRole: Carpentry LecturerWe are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Carpentry Lecturer to join our team at Holly Hill Campus in Belvedere.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tradesperson and/or qualified teacher who is passionate about sharing their knowledge and supporting students to develop practical skills and progress within the construction industry.Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and high-quality carpentry lessons to students. Plan and prepare practical and theoretical teaching sessions. Demonstrate carpentry techniques, tools, equipment and safe working practices. Support students in developing their practical skills, knowledge and confidence. Assess student work and provide constructive feedback. Maintain accurate student records and complete required administration. Ensure all workshop activities comply with relevant health and safety requirements. Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Work effectively with colleagues and contribute to students' overall progression and achievement.Essential Requirements: Proven experience in carpentry, teaching, training, or relevant industry experience. Minimum Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent). Qualified FE Teacher, or willingness to work towards an appropriate teaching qualification. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to explain practical and technical concepts clearly and confidently to groups. Good organisational and administrative skills. Ability to maintain accurate student records.
