In this role, the Cashier handles daily cash transactions, processes payments, issues receipts, and balances cash drawers at the end of each shift. The Cashier supports customers and internal teams by answering inquiries about charges, verifying transaction details, and maintaining accurate records in the point-of-sale and related systems. Responsibilities also include reconciling accounts, preparing basic financial summaries or deposits, and adhering to company policies and procedures for cash handling and customer service. The Cashier works closely with other operational staff to ensure smooth daily activities and a positive experience for customers and partners.Qualifications Strong cash handling and basic accounting skills, including payment processing, cash drawer balancing, and transaction reconciliation.Customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally, respond to questions, and resolve basic issues.Attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining accurate records, receipts, and documentation.Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and general computer skills (e.g., data entry, email, basic office software).Ability to work on-site in Kitchener, ON, in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods as needed.Reliability and integrity in handling financial information and following company policies and procedures.Prior experience in cashier, retail, or administrative roles is an asset; experience in automotive or logistics environments is beneficial.High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
