Unicorn’s success is supported by a team of more than 700 well-trained professionals dedicated to helping customers and ensuring smooth operations.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cashier role based in Amritsar. The Cashier will handle point-of-sale transactions, process payments, issue receipts, and manage cash, card, and digital payment systems accurately and efficiently. Daily responsibilities include maintaining a tidy and organized checkout area, reconciling cash drawers at shift end, and following company policies for returns, exchanges, and discounts. The role also involves answering basic customer queries, coordinating with store staff to resolve billing issues, and supporting inventory and billing documentation as needed. The Cashier is expected to provide polite, professional service while upholding Unicorn’s standards for customer experience and integrity in financial handling.Qualifications Strong numerical aptitude and basic accounting skills for accurate billing, cash handling, and reconciliation.Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems, barcode scanners, and common digital payment platforms.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and collaborate with store teams.Attention to detail and reliability in managing transactions, receipts, and daily reports.Customer service mindset with the ability to remain calm, courteous, and solution-focused during busy periods.Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.Previous retail or cashier experience in electronics or consumer goods is an advantage.Minimum educational qualification: higher secondary (12th grade) or equivalent; further training in retail or commerce is a plus.
