The Cashier is responsible for greeting customers, taking and processing orders, handling cash and electronic payments accurately, and issuing receipts. Day-to-day tasks include operating the point-of-sale system, answering basic product questions, maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, and restocking displays near the register. The role also involves coordinating with the baking and service staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly, managing lines efficiently during busy periods, and following all food safety and hygiene guidelines. The Cashier is expected to provide professional, courteous service, support a positive team environment, and follow company policies and procedures.Qualifications Experience handling cash, operating POS systems, and processing credit/debit transactions accurately.Strong customer service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a friendly, professional demeanor.Basic math skills and attention to detail for balancing the cash drawer and reconciling receipts.Ability to work in a fast-paced food service environment, stand for extended periods, and manage multiple tasks at once.Reliability in attendance and punctuality, with flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Commitment to cleanliness, food safety, and compliance with health and safety standards.Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or food service is preferred but not required; on-the-job training may be provided.High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
