Cashier

The Cashier will be responsible for processing and monitoring customer payments, cheques, bank transfers, receipt vouchers, and related transactions. The role requires close coordination with customers and Accounting to ensure that all payments are accurately recorded, processed, and settled. Responsibilities Process customer payments, cheques, bank transfers, and receipt vouchers.Reconcile invoices, customer accounts, receipt vouchers, and pending bank payments with the Accounting team.Match unidentified deposits or transfers with the relevant shipments by reviewing dates, amounts, cheque serial numbers, and depositor information.Process eFAWATEERcom payments without invoices by issuing and uploading the required invoices to FAWTARA and preparing receipt vouchers.Follow up with customers and clearance companies regarding daily receipt vouchers and payments.Review cheque lists and follow up on current and post-dated cheques.Communicate with customers regarding returned or rejected cheques to ensure timely settlement.Deposit cheques through the Arab Bank scanning system, follow up on their clearance, and send deposit slips to bank for current and post-dated cheques.Provide cheque and payment documents to the Accounting team.Verify recipient names, refund amounts, and invoice balances before processing transactions.Accurately record and update all transactions in the ERP system. Requirements: Diploma in Accounting or a related field.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Experience working with ERP systems.Knowledge of payment processing, receipt vouchers, and cheque handling.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Strong communication and customer service skills.Good organizational and follow-up skills.Ability to handle financial information responsibly and confidentially.Previous experience in a cashier or similar role is preferred.Familiarity with eFAWATEERcom, FAWTARA, or cheque-scanning systems is an advantage.
