The Cashier is responsible for processing customer bills accurately, handling cash, card, and digital payments, and issuing receipts. Daily tasks include verifying prices and discounts, balancing the cash register at the end of shifts, and maintaining clear and accurate transaction records. The Cashier supports smooth front-of-house operations, responds to guest billing inquiries, and coordinates with serving and management staff to resolve payment-related issues. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized cashier station and following all company policies and financial procedures.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong numerical and basic accounting skills to handle cash, reconcile receipts, and manage point-of-sale (POS) systems.Candidates should possess clear communication and customer service skills to interact with guests, explain bills, and resolve payment-related concerns.Candidates should possess attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate billing, proper documentation, and timely reporting.Candidates should possess basic technical skills to operate POS terminals, digital payment platforms, and standard office applications.Prior experience as a cashier or in a similar role in hospitality, retail, or food and beverage environments is preferred.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business operations.Minimum educational qualification of high school diploma or equivalent; additional training in finance, accounts, or hospitality is an advantage.Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and adherence to cash-handling and company policies.
