The team values innovation, community impact, and learner-centered approaches to education, creating an environment where staff contribute directly to meaningful social change.Role Description The Cashier is a full-time, on-site role based in Kumasi, responsible for handling daily financial transactions and providing courteous support to learners, visitors, and staff. Day-to-day tasks include receiving payments, issuing receipts, maintaining accurate cash records, and reconciling cash drawers at the end of each shift. The role involves verifying transaction details, assisting with fee-related inquiries, and ensuring compliance with internal financial procedures. The Cashier collaborates with the finance and administration teams to prepare basic reports, support audits, and uphold transparency and accountability in all transactions. This role requires consistent punctuality, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering professional service in a busy educational environment.Qualifications Strong numerical skills and basic accounting knowledge, including experience handling cash, reconciling transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records.Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems, spreadsheets, and other standard office software used for recording and tracking payments.Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with students, staff, and visitors and respond to payment-related inquiries.High level of attention to detail, reliability, and integrity when managing funds and confidential financial information.Ability to work on-site full time in Kumasi, manage time effectively, and perform tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Previous experience in a cashier, teller, or customer service role is preferred; experience in an educational or nonprofit setting is an advantage.Secondary school certificate required; additional training in finance, accounting, or business administration
