Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole DescriptionA Head of Operations is responsible for leading and overseeing the organization's day-to-day operational activities, developing operational strategies, managing teams and resources, improving processes, controlling costs, and ensuring the efficient delivery of products and services. The role works closely with senior management and cross-functional departments to achieve business objectives, maintain operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive sustainable organizational growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee the organization's overall day-to-day operational activities.Develop and implement operational strategies, plans, policies, procedures, and performance objectives aligned with business goals.Translate organizational strategy into practical operational plans, priorities, targets, and measurable outcomes.Manage and coordinate multiple departments, teams, business units, projects, and operational functions as required.Establish operational KPIs, performance standards, service levels, productivity targets, and business-performance metrics.Monitor operational performance and ensure departments consistently achieve agreed objectives and targets.Identify operational bottlenecks, inefficiencies, service gaps, resource constraints, and process risks.Develop and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency, productivity, service quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.Lead continuous-improvement programs, process optimization, workflow redesign, automation, and operational transformation initiatives.Manage operational budgets, expenditure, resource allocation, cost controls, and financial-performance targets.Monitor operating costs and identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve resource utilization, and increase operational profitability.Develop workforce plans and ensure appropriate staffing levels, skills, structures, and resources are available to support business requirements.Lead, coach, mentor, and develop managers, supervisors, and operational teams.Establish clear responsibilities, performance expectations, accountability structures, and reporting lines across operational functions.Support recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, succession planning, and employee-development initiatives.Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, operational discipline, customer service, and continuous improvement.Coordinate closely with finance, HR, procurement, supply chain, logistics, sales, marketing, IT, legal, compliance, and other departments.Ensure effective communication and coordination between operational teams and senior management.Oversee supply chain, procurement, logistics, facilities, production, service delivery, customer operations, or other business functions where applicable.Monitor operational capacity, workflow, demand, resources, inventory, equipment, facilities, and service requirements.Ensure products and services are delivered according to agreed quality, cost, schedule, and service standards.Monitor customer-service performance, customer complaints, service failures, operational incidents, and corrective actions.Develop and maintain operational policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, controls, and process documentation.Ensure operational activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, contractual requirements, industry standards, and company policies.Work with legal, compliance, risk, and quality teams to identify and mitigate operational and regulatory risks.Establish appropriate risk-management, business-continuity, emergency-response, and operational-resilience processes.Lead operational response to critical incidents, business disruptions, service failures, supply interruptions, and other major operational challenges.Monitor supplier, contractor, service-provider, and third-party performance where applicable.Negotiate or support commercial arrangements, service agreements, operational contracts, and supplier relationships as required.Review operational reports, financial information, customer data, productivity metrics, and performance trends to support management decisions.Prepare operational dashboards, management reports, business reviews, forecasts, budgets, and strategic recommendations.Use data and business intelligence to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and operational improvement priorities.Oversee implementation of operational technology, ERP systems, workflow platforms, automation tools, and digital-transformation initiatives.Ensure effective management and protection of company assets, equipment, facilities, technology, and operational resources.Monitor operational quality, safety, security, compliance, and service standards.Establish audit, inspection, quality-control, and operational-review processes where required.Work with senior leadership to develop annual operating plans, budgets, growth strategies, and organizational priorities.Support business expansion, new-site launches, new products or services, market entry, restructuring, and strategic operational initiatives.Evaluate operational risks and develop contingency plans, alternative processes, and recovery strategies.Maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, suppliers, regulators, service providers, and other stakeholders.Ensure confidentiality and appropriate protection of operational, commercial, financial, employee, customer, and strategic information.Monitor industry trends, market developments, emerging technologies, operational best practices, and competitive practices.Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, profitability, service quality, productivity, scalability, customer satisfaction, and organizational performance.Contribute to continuous improvement of business operations, workforce performance, process efficiency, cost management, risk control, service delivery, and long-term organizational growth.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Operations Management, or a related discipline is advantageous.Significant experience in operations management, business operations, general management, or a related senior leadership position.Demonstrated experience managing multiple operational functions, departments, teams, projects, or business units.Strong knowledge of operational strategy, business processes, performance management, resource planning, cost control, and organizational development.Proven experience developing and implementing operational strategies, policies, procedures, KPIs, and performance-improvement programs.Strong financial understanding, including budgeting, forecasting, cost management, profitability analysis, and resource allocation.Excellent leadership, team-management, coaching, mentoring, delegation, and organizational-development skills.Strong analytical, strategic-thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and risk-management abilities.Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, stakeholder-management, and interpersonal skills.Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies, operational excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar approaches is advantageous.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.Familiarity with ERP, CRM, business intelligence, workflow-management, operational reporting, and other enterprise systems is advantageous.Strong knowledge of compliance, risk management, health and safety, quality management, and business-continuity principles.Experience managing suppliers, contractors, service providers, strategic partners, and external stakeholders is advantageous.Strong understanding of workforce planning, organizational structures, talent development, and performance-management practices.Ability to analyze operational data, identify performance trends, and convert insights into practical business improvements.Experience leading organizational change, digital transformation, process automation, restructuring, or business-expansion initiatives is advantageous.Ability to manage complex operations, competing priorities, tight deadlines, operational disruptions, and high-pressure situations.Relevant professional qualifications in operations management, supply chain, project management, Lean Six Sigma, or business management are advantageous.Strong ability to work effectively with CEOs, executive leadership, department heads, managers, employees, customers, suppliers, regulators, and other stakeholders.Professional, strategic, accountable, decisive, commercially aware,
