Easy Apply now by clicking the "Easy Apply" buttonand sending us your resume.Salary: $25 - $36 per hourA bit about us:A growing precision manufacturing company in the precious metals and specialty casting industry is hiring a 1st shift Caster / Melter to join a quality driven, collaborative production teamWhy join us?Medical, dental, and vision insuranceCompany sponsored life and disability insurance401(k) Safe Harbor plan with company match, 100% vested at 90 daysPaid time off, vacation, sick time, personal days, and holidaysEmployee Assistance ProgramTraining, development, and advancement opportunities within the companyA Monday through Thursday, 10 hour shift schedule, with occasional Friday overtime, and major holidays offJob DetailsSet up and operate casting furnaces to cast gold, silver, and other precious metal alloys into finished productsCharge and light furnaces, bring melt to correct pouring temperature, and control the pour using a hydraulic control systemWork from production orders, process sheets, and verbal or written instructionsSelect, dress, position, and secure molds, and handle crucible work using proper heat resistant equipmentInspect finished castings, clean and prep crucibles and molds for the next pourMaintain accurate pyrometer chart records and production documentationReport mechanical or electrical issues and equipment defects to supervision promptlySupport a strong safety culture, including reporting all incidents and near missesWhat you bring:High school diploma or equivalent, technical or vocational training a plus1 to 3 years of experience with casting furnaces, crucibles, hydraulic controls, and moldsComfortable with precision measuring tools, micrometers and calipersStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilityAble to read and interpret work orders, specifications, and production documentationComfortable in a fast paced, production driven environment with changing prioritiesInterested in hearing more?
