Our bake-at-home products are created with the utmost care and the best locally sourced ingredients, to bring our love of exceptional mouth-watering baking to every household.About the RoleAre you a commercially minded Category Manager who loves turning data and insight into action?We’re looking for a Category Manager to join us for a 12-month fixed-term contract.You’ll play a key role within our Commercial team, using sales, shopper and consumer data to uncover meaningful insights and translate them into clear, compelling recommendations. With responsibility across the pastry, dough and pancakes categories, you’ll work closely with our retail partners and internal teams to help shape category strategy, unlock new opportunities and support our ambitious growth plans.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Category or Insights professional who enjoys combining data, commercial thinking and storytelling to make a real difference.What You’ll Be DoingUse a range of sales, shopper and consumer data to strengthen BakeAway’s understanding of category trends, performance and key growth drivers.Build and maintain strong category relationships with key retailer partners, providing actionable recommendations to unlock growth across pastry, dough and pancakes.Partner with the Commercial team to turn insight into opportunity — helping identify ways to win new listings, increase distribution and grow existing retail accounts.Support the launch of new product innovation, including opportunity sizing, category assumptions, sell-in stories and post-launch evaluation.Develop and maintain effective reporting tools to track brand and category performance and make insight easily accessible across the business.Manage and advise on the Category and Insight budget, ensuring investment is focused on the areas that deliver the greatest value.Bring the voice of the shopper and consumer into commercial decision-making and help ensure our plans are grounded in robust insight.What We’re Looking ForYou’ll be an experienced Category or Insights professional with experience ideally within FMCG, food or retail.You’ll have:Hands-on experience working with EPOS and panel data, ideally Nielsen.Strong analytical skills and a genuine ability to find the story behind the numbers and turn data into clear, actionable insight.Experience developing and managing strong client and retailer relationships.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to present insight and recommendations to stakeholders across a wide range of teams and seniority levels.A commercially focused mindset, with the ability to spot opportunities and turn insight into action.Experience delivering Category Visions, shopper or consumer research projects, and supporting NPD launches into retail would be a bonus, but isn’t essential.A collaborative and open approach, with a commitment to delivering success honestly and professionally.A can-do attitude, focused approach and willingness to get stuck in.A genuine interest in and passion for food.What's in it for you?A market competitive basic salary (up to £60k depending on experience)A contract completion bonus of £2,500Hybrid Working - a minimum of 2 days to be worked at our Corby siteMedicash CashplanPension up to 7% employer contributionLife Assurance x4 salaryFree Fruit FridayBirthday LeaveFree products straight from the production lineWhy Join BakeAway?This is an opportunity to join a great team, where your insight and expertise can have a tangible impact.
