Category Lead – CAPEX, OPEX & Indirect Materials Projects

Industry: PharmaceuticalJob PurposeLead strategic sourcing and procurement activities for CAPEX, OPEX, and indirect materials within the pharmaceutical industry, ensuring cost optimization, supplier performance, project delivery, and compliance with company policies and pharmaceutical industry requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement category strategies for CAPEX, OPEX, and indirect materials.Lead end-to-end procurement projects, including tendering, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations, and contract management.Manage procurement for CAPEX projects, including equipment, engineering works, construction, and facility upgrades.Oversee OPEX and indirect materials sourcing, including maintenance, facility management, spare parts, and professional services.Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive procurement efficiency.Collaborate with Engineering, Technical, Production, Quality, Finance, and other stakeholders.Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, internal controls, and applicable pharmaceutical industry requirements.Monitor procurement budgets, project timelines, supplier performance, and savings KPIs.Conduct supplier benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitive pricing and sustainable sourcing.Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Pharmacy , Sceince , Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.6–8 years of procurement experience, including substantial exposure to CAPEX, OPEX, and indirect materials.Mandatory: Previous experience working in a pharmaceutical company.Proven experience managing procurement projects, tenders, supplier negotiations, and contracts.Strong knowledge of CAPEX project procurement and indirect materials sourcing.Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.Excellent negotiation, analytical, project management, and stakeholder management skills.Important Screening Criteria: Candidates without previous pharmaceutical industry experience will not be considered.
