Apply & track with Apply EdgeHolland Imports Inc. is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Category Manager – Hardware, Power Tool Accessories (PTA) & Industrial to join our team.This role has overall responsibility for the P&L and performance of the business unit, with ownership across product sourcing and development, supplier management, pricing, inventory planning, category strategy, and sell-through.The Category Manager will work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Marketing, Graphics, and Data Integrity to build competitive product programs that deliver strong value to our B2B customers while achieving sales, margin, inventory, and growth objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the P&L and overall performance of the Hardware, Power Tool Accessories, and Industrial business unit.Develop and execute category strategies focused on sales growth, profitability, market share, inventory turns, and fill rates.Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive products, and pricing to identify opportunities for new products, sourcing, and category growth.Source and develop products, manage supplier relationships, and negotiate pricing, MOQs, specifications, and purchasing terms, including working closely with sourcing partners in Asia.Manage the complete product lifecycle, including new product development, launches, inventory planning, assortment rationalization, and phase-outs.Monitor category performance and inventory KPIs, proactively addressing underperforming products, inventory risks, and opportunities for improvement.Work cross-functionally with Sales, Purchasing, Marketing, Graphics, and Data Integrity on pricing, packaging, merchandising, promotions, catalogs, and product launches.Lead key category initiatives including private-label programs, new customer load-ins, sales training, and category expansion opportunities.QualificationsExperience in category management, product development, import buying, sourcing, merchandising, or a related role.Strong knowledge of Hardware, Power Tool Accessories, Tools, and/or Industrial products.Strong commercial understanding of sales, gross margin, pricing, inventory, and customer demand.Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to leverage data, analytics, and AI tools to support decision-making.Experience working with overseas suppliers and imported products is preferred.Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier-management skills.Results-oriented with the ability to work independently, collaborate across departments, and manage multiple priorities.Proficiency in Excel; experience with Microsoft Power BI, Oracle NetSuite, or similar ERP/BI platforms is an asset.Ability and willingness to travel within North America and Asia as required.The OpportunityThis is an opportunity to own a business within the business—influencing what we sell, where we invest, how we position our products, and how we grow our Hardware and Industrial categories.We’re looking for someone who combines product knowledge, commercial thinking, sourcing experience, and strong analytical skills and wants to take ownership of building successful product programs in the Canadian B2B market.
