Role OverviewThe Category Specialist is responsible for managing and developing assigned product categories across Florose’s e-commerce platforms. The role focuses on category performance, product assortment, pricing, promotions, availability, and customer demand to drive sales, improve profitability, and ensure a strong and competitive product offering.Key ResponsibilitiesManage assigned product categories and monitor their overall commercial performance.Develop and optimize product assortment based on customer demand, seasonality, trends, and business objectives.Monitor product availability and coordinate with Procurement and Operations to maintain appropriate stock levels.Review pricing and support pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and healthy margins.Build and maintain strong relationships with brands and strategic partners, and negotiate contracts and commercial agreements to secure favorable terms for the company.Plan and coordinate category promotions, seasonal campaigns, bundles, and special offers with the Marketing team.Identify best-selling, slow-moving, and underperforming products and recommend appropriate actions.Conduct competitor and market analysis covering products, pricing, promotions, trends, and new opportunities.Support the sourcing and introduction of new products and categories based on market opportunities.Ensure products are properly categorized and presented across the app and website, including titles, descriptions, images, attributes, and pricing.Coordinate with Marketing, Procurement, Operations, Content, and Technology teams to execute category initiatives.Prepare regular category performance reports and provide actionable recommendations to management.Support forecasting and category planning for key occasions and seasonal peaks.Maintain a strong understanding of customer behavior and purchasing patterns within assigned categories.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.2–4 years of experience in Category Management.Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret sales and performance data.Good understanding of pricing, margins, promotions, assortment, and inventory management.Strong Excel and reporting skills.Experience in e-commerce.Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.Arabic and English proficiency.Experience in flowers, gifting, beauty, lifestyle, or premium retail is a plus.
