Joining Cafe Jac means being part of a small, service-oriented team where reliability, professionalism, and customer care are highly valued.Role Description The Catering Barista is a full-time, on-site role located in Jersey Marine, responsible for preparing and serving a range of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty coffees. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and breaking down catering stations, supporting food preparation for events, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in all service areas, and ensuring equipment is properly operated and cared for. The role involves greeting guests, taking orders, handling payments, and providing attentive customer service during café service and catered functions. The Catering Barista collaborates with the wider team to support events, manage stock levels, follow health and safety standards, and uphold Cafe Jac’s quality and presentation expectations.Qualifications Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to create a welcoming, responsive, and professional guest experience.Barista skills, including espresso machine operation, drink preparation, and basic equipment maintenance.Clear Communication skills for coordinating with team members, understanding event requirements, and interacting with guests.Food Preparation skills for assisting with simple food items, snacks, and plated offerings in a catering environment.Ability to work on-site full time, including occasional evenings or weekends for events, with reliable punctuality.Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices; formal certification is an advantage.Experience in café, catering, or hospitality settings is preferred but not required for motivated candidates.Capacity to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
