By prioritizing safety and sustainability of critical assets, the company strives to establish a benchmark of excellence in corrosion control and asset integrity.Role Description The Cathodic Protection Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Al Khobar. The engineer will design, implement, and maintain cathodic protection systems for pipelines, tanks, and other oil and gas infrastructure, including conducting site surveys, system sizing, and technical calculations. Daily tasks include preparing engineering drawings and specifications, reviewing equipment designs, supervising installation activities, and performing system commissioning and troubleshooting. The role involves monitoring system performance, conducting inspections and testing, analyzing corrosion data, and preparing technical reports and recommendations. The engineer will also coordinate with project teams and clients, support R&D initiatives for improved corrosion solutions, and ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and safety practices.Qualifications Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with knowledge of corrosion principles and cathodic protection systems.Proficiency in Machine Design and equipment selection for cathodic protection and related mechanical components.Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for preparing layouts, schematics, and technical drawings.Project Management skills to plan, execute, and monitor cathodic protection projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with stakeholders.Research and Development (R&D) capabilities to evaluate new technologies, optimize system performance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline; cathodic protection certifications (e.g., NACE or equivalent) are an advantage.Ability to work safely on industrial sites, interpret technical standards, and produce clear documentation and reports.Effective communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and willingness to work in multidisciplinary teams on-site in Al Khobar.
