Apply & track with Apply EdgeCCT-EM Resident – Society for Emergency Medicine India (SEMI)Manipal Hospital Sarjapur, BengaluruThe CCT-EM Residency Program under the Society for Emergency Medicine India (SEMI) at Manipal Hospital Sarjapur offers structured, competency-based training in Emergency Medicine within a high-volume, multidisciplinary tertiary-care hospital environment.The program provides residents with comprehensive exposure to the full spectrum of emergency and critical care, combining supervised clinical practice, structured academics, bedside teaching, simulation and hands-on procedural training.Key responsibilities and training areas:- Deliver supervised emergency care to adult and paediatric patients across a broad range of acute medical, surgical and traumatic presentations.- Develop competency in resuscitation, critical care, airway management, trauma care and emergency procedures.- Participate in management of critically ill patients, including exposure to mechanical ventilation, invasive monitoring, POCUS and advanced resuscitation techniques.- Gain hands-on experience in procedures including airway management, bronchoscopy, intraosseous access, vascular access, point-of-care ultrasound and other emergency procedures.- Participate in trauma management and multidisciplinary emergency response.- Work closely with consultants and multidisciplinary teams across Critical Care, Anaesthesia and other major super-specialities.- Undertake structured rotations/postings in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, providing broader exposure to peri-arrest and critically ill patients.- Attend regular academic sessions, journal clubs, case discussions, morbidity and mortality meetings, bedside teaching and clinical workshops.- Participate in simulation-based learning and practical skills training.- Develop clinical reasoning, decision-making, communication, teamwork and leadership skills essential for independent practice in Emergency Medicine.- Participate in departmental quality-improvement, audit and academic activities.- Prepare for SEMI CCT-EM examinations and competency assessments, with structured academic support throughout the residency.Training EnvironmentThe Emergency Department at Manipal Hospital Sarjapur is a dedicated 15-bed Emergency Department within a tertiary-care hospital offering access to multiple super-specialities and advanced critical-care services, including ECMO.Residents train alongside experienced Emergency Medicine consultants and faculty, with access to specialists across the hospital.
