CDU Health SciencesHealth Science TeacherJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Health Science Teacher to deliver engaging, learner-centered instruction and support student success within our Health Sciences program. The successful candidate will create stimulating learning experiences that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and lifelong learning while preparing students for further education and careers in the healthcare sector.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality instruction in Health Sciences using student-centered and skills-based teaching methodologies.Implement the Health Sciences curriculum and contribute to its continuous improvement.Develop and maintain engaging teaching and learning materials.Assess, monitor, and evaluate student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessment methods.Maintain accurate records of student achievement and communicate progress effectively to students, parents, and stakeholders.Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment.Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital platforms such as MS Teams, Zoom, and Google Workspace to support teaching and learning.Collaborate with colleagues, school leadership, and curriculum teams to improve educational outcomes.Prepare students for external examinations and qualifications.Participate in curriculum reviews, departmental meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities.Stay current with developments in Health Sciences and educational best practices.Uphold all institutional policies, professional standards, and health, safety, and environmental requirements.Qualifications RequiredBachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Health Sciences, Nursing, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a reputable educational institution and/or 5 years of relevant clinical or industry experience.Strong knowledge of Health Sciences and health education principles.Internationally recognized Trainer and Assessor qualification.PreferredMaster's Degree in Nursing or a related discipline.Teaching Certificate or Diploma.Experience teaching Advanced Placement (AP) courses.Experience in blended and online learning environments.Skills and CompetenciesExcellent classroom management and instructional skills.Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.Effective use of educational technology and digital learning platforms.Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.Strong organizational, planning, and assessment skills.Commitment to continuous professional development.Cultural awareness and sensitivity.High ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism.Language RequirementsEnglish: Fluent written and spoken communication (IELTS Academic 7.0 or equivalent).Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
